Protective sealants

Pits and Fissures are the most common dental problem found in children. Chewing teeth have grooves on the surface like mountain and valleys. These grooves are the hiding and dwelling places for oral bacteria’s causing decay since bristles of a brush do not reach to clean that area. Hence these areas start developing pits and fissures gradually leading to caries. To prevent this our clinic in Vadodara applies “dental sealants” on the surface of the tooth which covers the grooves and protects it from acid attacks and plaque.

Our Dental Care Clinic in Vadodara follows a painless procedure to apply on the child. First After the tooth is cleaned and dried, the chewing surfaces are roughened with an etching solution or gel to help the sealant adhere to the tooth. After a few minutes the tooth is cleaned and dried again. Then the dental sealant is 'painted' on the tooth enamel and hardened with a special 'curing' light. It takes only a few minutes to seal each tooth. Dental sealants can last as long as five years and often longer. Our dentist believe that preventive dental care is very important for children.

Scaling and polishing (prophylaxis)

Myth: Dental Cleaning / Scaling & Polishing loosens the teeth, causes gaps & makes them sensitive.

Fact: Scaling & Polishing or Dental cleaning is most commonly advised dental procedure advised by a dentist at an interval of 6-8 months. It is a non-surgical treatment for periodontal disease. By using special instruments called ultrasonic scalers, we remove bacteria and infection from the unhealthy deep pockets around the teeth below the gum line. This is often referred to as a "deep cleaning". It only makes your teeth better, cleaner & stronger. Scaling and Root Planing combined with a strict home care routine and more frequent periodontal cleanings and exams will increase your chances of keeping your natural smile.
